The students at third grade celebrated Poppy Day. They made paper poppies and learnt about the festivity.

Guy Fawkes Day at School

Today the students of the second and third grades learnt a bit about Guy Fawkes Day. They talked about the story behind the festivity, sang a song, watched a video and made some posters,

GUY FAWKES DAY

Catholic dissident Guy Fawkes and 12 co-conspirators spent months planning to blow up King James I of England during the opening of Parliament on November 5, 1605. But their assassination attempt was foiled the night before when Fawkes was discovered lurking in a cellar below the House of Lords next to 36 barrels of gunpowder. Londoners immediately began lighting bonfires in celebration that the plot had failed, and a few months later Parliament declared November 5 a public day of thanksgiving. Guy Fawkes Day, also known as Bonfire Night, has been around in one form or another ever since. Though originally anti-Catholic in tone, in recent times it has served mainly as an excuse to watch fireworks, make bonfires and burn Guy Fawkes effigies

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This week we celebrated Halloween at school. We did monsters, ghosts, bats and many other arts and crafts based on the festival.

Here is a picture of the ghosts made by the children at preschool.


At the first grade of primary school they made really funny masks.










Students at third grade had a great time building skeletons and making monsters. They even Trick or Treat! us.









Here are some murals decorating the fourth grade corridors.





Finally children at fifth and sixth grade worked really hard to decorate the classrooms and make Halloween arts and crafts.

On the 31st of October we celebrate one of the funniest festivities among the Anglo-Saxon culture: HALLOWEEN.

One of the oustanding thing of Halloween is creepy food. In the next video you can learn how to cook some recipes.

CRITERIOS DE CUALIFICACIÓN Área de Lingua Inglesa ESO

A continuación publicamos os criterios de cualificación na área de Lingua Inglesa para ESO para o curso 2014-2015:

O sistema de cualificación para os instrumentos de avaliación sería o seguinte:

Probas : Levaranse a cabo distintas probas ó longo do trimestre tendo importancia todas e cada unha delas o tratarse dunha avaliación contínua, sumativa e progresiva. As probas que se poden levar a cabo son as seguintes:
Probas específicas de vocabulario, Listenings comprehension, reading comprehension, Writing sobre diferentes tópicos e Speaking para valorar a sua competencia en expresión oral. 
As probas poderán ser postas con aviso ou simplemente ó chegar a clase para comprobar se os alumnos seguen o desenvolvemento da mesma e fan as tarefas propostas polo profesor ou profesora. Todas estas probas significarán o 30% da nota da avaliación.

O exame de avaliación contará cos seguintes apartados:
vocabulario,gramática, lectura comprensiva, expresión escrita e expresión oral. Esta última parte se fará avisando ó alumno coa suficiente antelación para que prepare o tema na casa e o expoña diante do profesor/a cando se lle indique.
A proba oral non se levará a cabo o mesmo día. Será noutra sesión .
Tanto a proba escrita como a proba oral é acumulativa así que incluirá todo o traballado ó longo do trimestre, non quedando eliminados os contidos de trimestres ou cursos anteriores. O valor da proba escrita é de :50%.
Para que a proba conste como superada na súa globalidade terá que superar cada unha das partes da que consta a mesma.( vocabulario,gramática,lectura comprensiva e expresión escrita).
A proba oral terá un valor de :20 %.
A nota final de Xuño obterase cunha media artmética ponderada tendo en conta os seguintes pesos: A nota da primeira avaliación multiplicarase por 1 , a nota da segunda avaliación multiplicarase por 2 e a nota da terceira avaliación multiplicarase por 3.
Na convocatoria extraordinaria de Setembro o valor otorgado ó exame escrito será de 70% e a proba oral 30%.
Valorarase o uso das novas tecnoloxías, o traballo na aula, a participación, o interese pola materia, a realización dos deberes, a presentación e organización do caderno..dentro do 30% destinado a diferentes probas ó longo do trimestre.
Os criterios de cualificación son comúns para tódolos cursos.
O alumno que non supera a asignatura no mes de xuño terá unha proba extraordinaria no mes de setembro. Será unha proba escrita cos mesmos apartados que a proba de xuño e unha breve proba oral que se levará a cabo no mesmo día .
